Body Tracker

One click turns live-action footage into a 3D body locked to the actor in your shot.

Blender: 4.2 – 5.2Version: 0.6.0 Early AccessPlatform: Windows 10/11 · NVIDIA RTX 8 GB+

Your plate in, a plate-locked 3D body out.

Rotomation by hand takes hours per shot, and AI mocap gives you a motion in its own space that never lines up with your plate. Body Tracker solves the body in your shot camera with the plate behind it: lens estimated, every person found, smoothed, feet locked, and a report that tells you how well it matches. Everything runs on your own NVIDIA GPU; your footage never leaves your computer.

What it does

01

Really one click

Choose the plate and press Rotomate. Lens, person selection, smoothing, foot lock and the quality report are automatic; Advanced options are there when you want them.

02

Locked to your plate

The body sits in the shot camera with the plate behind it, so it lines up with the actor: use it for shadows, holdouts and CG costumes.

03

Everyone in the shot

Tick All people to get one animated body per prominent person, or click the person you want.

04

On your own character

Apply to Character works with Mixamo, Rigify and custom humanoid rigs, pins the feet on contacts, and exports FBX or GLB for game engines.

05

An honest report

Every shot gets a report: how well the body matches, frame by frame, and which frames to check. On test clips with known answers the overlay lands within 1.7–2.9% of body height.

06

Fast enough for real shots

About 1.2 seconds per frame on an RTX 5070 Ti, report included: a 150-frame shot takes 2–4 minutes. 4K takes only about 9% longer than 1080p.

FAQ

What is Early Access?

The tool is complete and in production use, and it keeps improving. You pay once and every 1.x update is free.

Does it work with a moving camera?

Yes, in camera space: the body follows the actor in the shot camera. For a body in world space, attach a solved camera. Foot pinning needs a still camera for now.

Hands and face?

Body first. Hands are basic and the face is not tracked yet; both are on the roadmap.

Will my computer run it?

We tested an RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB with 16 GB of RAM, an RTX 4070 and an RTX 5070 Ti: the same 481-frame shot took 13:35, 13:31 and 12:42 with the same result.
